Explore the HES2S-150-A110 Concealed Hinge
Streamlined and robust, the HES2S-150-A110 is a surface-mounted concealed hinge built for fast, efficient installations where performance and appearance matter. Mounting directly onto the jamb side, this hinge eliminates the need for complex mortising, making it ideal for high-use residential or commercial settings. Designed for doors with a minimum thickness of 35mm, it also supports center mounting for 35–36mm doors, enabling non-handed use (left or right swing). With 3-way post-installation adjustability and a durable build tested to 300,000 cycles, the HES2S-150-A110 is ideal for heavier doors up to 2700mm in height and 900mm in width.

Installation Instructions

The hinge offers three-directional post-installation adjustment for precise door alignment without removing the hardware. Adjustment ranges are as follows:
-
Vertical adjustment: ±3 mm
-
Depth adjustment: ±2 mm
-
Horizontal adjustment: ±2 mm
These adjustments can be made using standard screws after installation, ensuring flexibility during and after the mounting process. Both the door side and the jamb side must be prepped according to the specified dimensions. Ensure the indicated fixing screw holes are pre-drilled to support secure installation. The exploded view also outlines individual parts and materials, with each component labeled for reference, including base plates, screws, inner sockets, and outer arms.
This section provides a detailed exploded view of the hinge, illustrating how each component fits together. The door side and jamb side fixings are clearly marked, along with screw hole sizes and locations. It’s crucial to mount each part in the correct order to allow for the three-axis adjustment functions to work post-installation. Mount the depth and vertical adjustment screws first, followed by the horizontal adjustment screw and its mounting plate. Note that once the fixing screws are mounted, adjustment range may be restricted. Be sure to align all elements per the labeled dimensions to ensure the hinge functions correctly and remains concealed when the door is closed.

The hinge allows for full movement with no mortising required on the jamb side, simplifying installation. However, for optimal clearance and range of motion, ensure that the corner of the door (marked B) is drilled with appropriate chamfering, especially if your door machining margin (Y) is 4.5 mm or less. The hinge installs flush with the reference plane of both the door and jamb. If chamfering the door (B) and jamb (A) edges, ensure the corner radius meets the minimum specifications to avoid binding during operation. Maintain consistent alignment of door and jamb reference planes to ensure a smooth 180° opening motion.

For accurate installation, drill pilot holes according to the provided dimensions and labeled positions for each adjustment screw. The cut-out must be 27 mm wide and 120 mm high, with 8xR6 corner radius to accommodate the hinge body. Vertical adjustment screw holes should be spaced 23 mm apart and drilled before final hinge mounting. If the vertical or depth adjustment screws are installed before pilot holes are drilled, post-installation adjustability may be limited. Always drill in the center of the indicated positions for screws when the hinge is in its neutral (centered) adjustment setting. Align both door and jamb cut-outs flush with their respective reference planes for proper hinge performance.
